Burgeo ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and safety of families. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Burgeo - Parently app, Burgeo Kids app, and related services.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide

• Parent Account: Name, email address, password (encrypted), phone number
• Family Information: Family name, family code
• Child Profiles: First name, last name, date of birth, gender, grade level

B. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not scan or store your child's messages or browsing history
• We do not sell any personal information
• We do not display third-party advertising

3. Privacy-First Architecture

Child activity data is encrypted and stored locally on the parent's device. Our cloud stores only authentication credentials, subscription metadata, and encrypted sync payloads.

4. Data Ownership & Control

Parents have full control over family data. Use the Family Vault to export, backup, restore, or delete data at any time.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Burgeo complies with COPPA. Parents provide consent by creating child profiles. Children cannot create accounts independently.

6. Data Security

• Passwords encrypted with bcrypt
• HTTPS transmission for all data
• JWT authentication for API access
